RAD140 is a highly effective SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator) currently being investigated for dual and neuroprotective effects. It belongs to a tissue-selective class of androgen receptor (AR) ligands for the treatment of muscle wasting associated with cancer, acute and chronic diseases, and age-related muscle loss. Recent studies have shown that RAD140 has superior thin-tissue selectivity and reduced male-causing effects compared to competing SARM compounds. This compound is studying the neuroprotective effects, the important neural role of endogenous and endocrine factors associated with neuroendocrine and neurodegenerative diseases, and is as effective as testosterone in reducing apoptosis induced cell death. The RAD140 is extremely effective at building athletic endurance, endurance, speed, as well as short-term strength and muscle volume. Because of the absorptive capacity of the product itself, it acts as a powerful anti-catalyst adjunct and will help maintain muscle
The androgen receptor (AR) is primarily targeted at normal human sexual development, but its activation through compounds such as testosterone also affects the bone, muscle, liver, and central nervous system.
The problem within the medical and bodybuilding communities is that using testosterone to activate AR signaling to increase muscle and bone development can also affect sexual tissue, leading to testicular atrophy, an enlarged female clitoris and even prostate cancer risk.
RAD140, a nonsteroidal selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), circumvents this problem. Because of the way RAD140 binds to androgen receptors, different cells respond by releasing different proteins, and only a few androgen receptors are activated throughout the body.
This stimulation leads to the activation of androgen receptors in bone and muscle cells, rather than raising liver enzymes or affecting sexual tissues.
According to Radius, a Cambridge-based pharmaceutical company:
"... Strong, oral bioavailable and nonsteroidal RAD 140 are designed to make hormone receptors in body tissues behave as if they are getting a good dose of testosterone, triggering the same effects of corticosteroids and anabolic steroids minus unwanted side effects..."

Eight major benefits were observed in the reviews of both the initial study and user reports.
